Swimming Lessons
03:13
When we saw the haze it was all too strange to me / I was put into a daze that I knew would dazzle me and set me free / as we swam across I thought I’d end up as bait for all the creatures down below who saw my hand as the final blow meant to overthrow / if only they knew I would never harm them / hoping more to learn to be more like them / the splitting line is the unsolvable equation that is the cause of this multiplied division

Cardboard Living
02:25
Wish lists pile up beside photographs that do remind me of a distant place where the colours blend away the monotones of the day / water falling escapades streamline adventurous charades / the tourist hanging on to still frames that create a routined visual give and take / cardboard living entertains more than mansion-sized terrain / burn the money for the thrill and live with fundamental will / satisfied with a million krill / seeing upside down becomes routined faulty vision / praying for the flip to happen behind my eyes / a mirror inside our tiny box / contortionist love

Rat In My Hand
02:21
In this sea of white noise I’m here on my own with nothing but a rat in my hand / while you’re at home, cradle in tow, holding what I’d rather hold / you’re singing a song and I’d sing along if my tongue wasn’t tied to this chair / Adonis’ face, you can’t look away, I hope you see a glimmer of me / a clone among clones on make-work time / writing notes is what I do but I’d rather not / slip me bright pink and empty out this pen / with no more ink we’ll drink from its hollowness and toast with our celebratory champagne / the only thing more important in life than money is everything

A Mix Of Sun And Cloud
02:12
A fading moon waves goodbye to the night and preps the day / but I know life is just a mix of sun and cloud that will never level out / so when the rain comes down I'll take it furled / shower wet and dripping drops of endless thoughts forming wading pools to reflect on rainy walks / yellow dressed with courage hidden deep inside / I’m flipping coat sides left and right trying to knockoff all who pass by my poor wide eyes / the real thing might be the dream but whose got cash for that? / not me, not me / I earn a living from just getting by

High On Daylight
03:55
High on daylight / liquored up on the tears of humankind / drowning like a lab rat wunderkind / let me loose, I won’t mind / the Earth is mostly water from the tears of humankind / swimming in eternal sorrow doesn’t sound too special / high on daylight / liquored up on the fears of humankind / unveiled eyes accept the upside down world / sunlight umbrella furled / insipid dungeon / a cave of shadows / distorted reality courtesy of blue light trickery / genuflect the daylight / bring it gold, frankincense, and myrrh / basking in sweltering reverence / I don’t care if I burn
