1.
The evening melted into a pool I couldn’t swim in The moon cast a shadow puppet speaking nothing but empty sounds My feet weren’t made to withstand this place Take the Ford Galaxie through intersidereal space Drive past the Grand Omega Minus near Mathematics Park Laika in space, the cosmos in black and white Amputate the clock’s two hands and let the phantom of time reign In the present during this waking feeling of malaise Swim on through the landscape of life without a steady mind Where it all floats downstream inside a microcosm of the Earth The blue and green make cyan hues I paint with my eyes And blend perspectives for all eternity
2.
I’m an impostor who dreams of wild flowers and heavenly things But the world’s just a ball that’s getting shaved down into endless elliptical scenes That are skewed and protrude with sharp edges that slice up the sky The bleeding stars stay awake through the night and by morning quickly die The sugar has all run out but there are no neighbours around that I like That’s the face of a soulless place with no one real around Only those who drown in droves along the channel’s endless waves Burning pages one by one, fanning flames with flailing hands Hitchhike across the highways of dreams The moment between night and day A view as clear as looking right through a window into the sky Nothing compares to the rhythm upstairs when all of them stars align
3.
Apogee 02:11
Now we’re closer to the sun Now we’re farther from the moon The distance is a supreme sophisticated regime Oppressive apogee
4.
My mind is cosmic, my eyes are wide It’s the way the stars align that keep me up all through the night A kaleidoscopic mix of blue and red A big bang against the wall’s the beat inside my dreaming head Manna falling from the sky Stick out my tongue and let the magic stay and calcify Swirling shamans in my brain Flashing images inside a tonic hurricane They’ll never leave me, I’ve made a pact They’ll live forever as a wilful mental artifact They’re here to stay
5.
Nothing is impossible when two heads think likes yours do Never thought this would be so hard Sending you out into that yard This is what life is about Knowing when things are real or not And this is real life Another spin around the sun With strangers taking your sweet hands Treat them well, I’m watching you Forever feedback on my mind A looping spiralling nimbus cloud Raining, freezing, who gives a shit? It’s the time that’s spent that’s hit or miss Weather station field goals Little umbrellas out on patrol Shield your bright eyes from the sun So you can see what you’ll become
6.
Pictures appear and to be honest I don’t know what they mean It’s just an upside down subconscious in need of revealing A head full of never ending conquests in need of conquering Mirrors reflecting off the ocean, crossing hemispheres Futile attempts to go unnoticed in a sea of memories As the Earth revolves in endless circles for all eternity While we get closer to the sun A scorching hot harpoon Looking forward, looking back With eyes to the moon
